Exploring the world and getting to know other realities is an extremely enriching experience. It changes us, opening up our horizons and helping us look at where we come from a little differently. And the good news is that traveling the world was never so easy as it is today thanks to new concepts such as co-ownership vacation.

The Venn Group aims to create a brand new holiday experience by combining homestay lodging and hotel, the Venn Homesuite. The 1st co-ownership project in Penang, the Venn Homesuite will be a luxurious commercial and residential building developed according to the highest ecological standards and equipped with smart hotel technology. The Venn Group has pledged to donate part of its annual profits from the Venn HomeSuite business to those in need, reflecting the group’s social responsibility to the local community.

With this in mind, we wanted to give you a small taste of what Malaysia has in store for tourists and how the Venn Homesuite project completes and interacts with the vibrant tourist life in Malaysia. This post aims to be a practical guide for tourists as well as a value proposition for those looking to better understand the investment potential of the Venn Homesuite project.

1 — City Life

Kuala Lumpur: When flying to Malaysia, you will most likely land at Kuala Lumpur airport. Visited by roughly 8.9 million tourists each year, Kuala Lumpur is the 6th most visited city in the world and a great starting point for your adventure. The capital city is known for its cultural diversity, being home to many different religions, ethnicities and cultures. In fact, the different cultures make it an excellent place to try out the excellent Malaysian cuisine.

Kuala Lumpur is also known for being a great place for shopping, a retail and fashion hub of Southeast Asia. With over 66 shopping malls, you get almost anything at very affordable prices with the exception of alcohol, which is rather expensive. Kuala Lumpur’s architecture is also noteworthy, with the Petronas Towers being its most iconic landmark. Belonging to the national oil company by the same name, the Petronas Towers are the world’s biggest twin towers.

Penang: Kuala Lumpur steals the show, but there is also Penang. A former British colony, Penang is a Malasyan state located on the northern region of Peninsular Malaysia. With a booming economy, Penang is considered to be the Silicon Valley of the East and is the home of the Venn Group. The state is mostly known for Penang Island, where the capital city of GeorgeTown is located. Also considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site, George Town has a very rich culture and is worth visiting due to the temples, cuisine, historic buildings, street art, the seaside fort, and the beautiful beaches. It is also the food capital of Malaysia.

The 1st Venn HomeSuite development on target land located at Sungai Nibong, Penang, a strategic hotspot at the heart of Bayan Lepas — the constantly growing business hub in Penang. We will talk about this flagship project in more details below but it is only the first of the many projects that the Venn Group has in store for Malaysia, South East Asia and beyond.

Malacca: Malacca is an ancient colonial city that was previously under Portuguese, British and Dutch occupation. It has a rich history with numerous churches, maritime museums and the famous Jonker Street Night Market. Malacca is considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and has a very relaxed vibe, being a good alternative to the busy Kuala Lumpur. The Venn Group aims to provide at least 150 to 200 Venn HomeSuite units for Malacca in the future

Langkawi: Known as the jewel of Kedah and a rising star in the world of tourism and leisure, Langkawi is a district and a 99-island Archipelago in Malaysia and will also be home to some of Venn Homesuite’s future projects especially in Kuah and Cenang vicinity. Known for its beautiful beaches, Langkawi is a perfect go-to for some relaxing time in Malaysia.

Selangor:The vast area of Selangor surrounds the capital Kuala Lumpur. There are enormous theme parks and interesting attractions like the National Zoo, the Formula One racetrack, and even an indoor snow park. In Selangor you could go underground through the famous Batu Caves and see 140ft tall Lord Murugan Statue or go high into the Genting Highlands, the Malasyan version of Las Vegas built on a mountain and where the world’s largest hotel is located.

2 — Nature

Nature lovers will be at home in Malaysia. The natural landscape in Malaysia is absolutely breathtaking, and it is as beautiful as it is diverse. Ranging from fine sand beaches with blue water, to forests and national parks, and even mountainous highlands. It all depends on what you are looking for.

If hiking is your thing you can try out one of the oldest tourist spots in Malaysia, the Cameron Highlands. With a colder climate, allowing for several farms that produce exquisite fresh fruits and honey, Cameron Highlands is a hikers dream. Through its many trails one will find beautiful green grass fields, waterfalls, lakes, and even volcanoes.

You can also get a feel for the enormous biodiversity of Malaysia through its natural parks. The Gunung Mulu National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park is known for extensively documented cave systems, the surrounding tropical rainforest, and trekking routes over canopy bridges. Being one of the oldest untouched rainforests, Taman Negara National also gets its place on the list with its amazing diversity of wildlife.

If, on the other hand, you are looking to lay low on the beach there are numerous paradisiac places to choose from. With many iconic beaches and tourism attractions, Langkawi is an archipelago of 99 islands that was given World Geopark status by UNESCO. The activities on the more touristic area of Langkawi include snorkeling, diving, a large indoor aquarium, and the cable car which will give you a great view of the mainland of the archipelago. The Perhentian Islands also present a good and less touristic alternative, as the extensive coral reefs make it a dream of divers and snorkelers.

3 — Gastronomy

The food in Malaysia is so good we reserved an exclusive chapter on it. You can expect exquisite tropical fruits, vegetables that grow all year round, and a different variety of fresh seafood. Malaysian cuisine is a mesh of Chinese, Indian, Indonesian, Thai, Bornean, and Malay foods. As that wasn’t enough, due to colonization the cuisine also has Portuguese, Dutch, British, and Arabian influences. This divine mesh of gastronomy offers so many choices, but one should not leave without trying Nasi lemak, the national dish of Malaysia that consists of rice cooked with coconut milk and topped with chili, and Ikan bakar, which is grilled marinated fish spiced up with chili paste.

4 — Where to stay
